The county began several years ago to upgrade service in western Osceola, and hopes eventually to have each bus on a 30-minute schedule. ![]() “It may be a hard decision, especially if there are some people who rely on that route, but this is one contest we don’t want to finish last in.”Īlthough the BVL area is a hot spot for residential growth, the western part of the county has seen a greater demand for bus service because of the 24-hour tourism jobs there. “My concern is, is there a better way we can be spending those dollars or are there adjustments we should make,” County Commissioner Mary Jane Arrington said about that route. 12 route, which carries riders in the Buenaventura Lakes-Boggy Creek area, is the worst in ridership among the 58 routes in the three counties. In the coming weeks, Lynx will provide commissioners with numbers and quarterly ridership figures for each route.
